It looks as though 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple Brandan DeNuccio and Mary Demasu-ay are no longer together. Brandan and Mary debuted their long-distance love story in season 5 and captured the attention of viewers thanks to their off-beat relationship. They had been dating for two years after they met on a dating app. Brandan and Mary had spent much of those two years on video call. It was partly due to Mary’s jealous nature that they’d come up with a solution to be together even if they were separated by distance.
However, Mary and Brandan also argued a lot if he happened to talk to or look at other women, including his mom and sister. Brandan moved to the Philippines intending to get married to Mary on 90 Day Fiancé. Brandan and Mary found out they were pregnant with their first baby within three months. Brandan developed cold feet upon hearing the news. He wondered if he was ready for his new life as a father. He proposed to Mary with great reluctance. It is speculated they will get married and welcome a baby daughter on the show. However, Brandan and Mary’s marriage is not a happy one.
Mary & Brandan Fought On Instagram Live
Mary went Live on Instagram on October 28, 2023, to livestream a fight between her and Brandan. Mary wept uncontrollably during the Live (as shared by Redditor Sunbearemii), and fans asked her why she was crying because they didn’t understand what was happening. Mary leaned against a wall and argued with Brandan who was on the other side of the room. Mary accused Brandan of pushing her. He claimed he did it because she attempted to break his PS5. “She on live cuz she feel unsafe,” a fan wrote during the livestream. They were supposedly fighting over a video game that Brandan wanted to buy. She wanted to buy a phone instead.
Brandan claimed he didn’t end up buying the game. Mary thought she could use a new phone to create vlogs and earn a living by posting them online. “She wants a newer phone to post online with you realize just how stupid this is. These two are not worth the attention they are given,” wrote Reddit user The_Crystal_Thestral. Brandan and Mary’s argument continued in Part 2 of the Live shared by Sunbearemii. Those watching concluded that Mary was looking for an ego boost and wished to play the victim. Her plan may have been to get fans to send her money, so she could buy herself a new gadget.
Mary Wishes She “Found Better” Than Brandan
The same day, Mary also posted several Instagram stories to suggest she was splitting up with Brandan. Reddit user feathersofnorth shared screenshots of multiple stories that Mary shared with white text upon a black background. The first one said, “Brandans not good enough. Wish I found better.” In her next story, Mary added, “Go find someone better.” She also wrote that they both deserve better. “But not each other,” she continued. Mary did not bother explaining why she thought she deserved someone better than Brandan. When she first revealed why she fell for Brandan, she mentioned it was because he resembled Harry Potter and Justin Bieber.
Mary’s ex-boyfriend had treated her very badly and cheated on her multiple times. She thought Brandan was very handsome and cute. It was Mary’s idea to be on the phone 24/7 because she loved Brandan and didn’t want to “lose him.” Mary wasn’t honest with Brandan because she sometimes used to unplug her Wi-Fi router to go out and meet her guy friends. Mary now saying that she deserves a better partner than Brandan could mean she was only attracted to him physically and never had any feelings for him.

Viewers suspect Mary’s grandparents are raising the baby while Mary and Brandan keep arguing over silly things. Having a baby could have made the couple more responsible, but it hasn’t. Brandan also paid Mary over $60,000 over two years, so she could build their family home. Being married now further complicates the matter if they are considering splitting up for good.
Brandan Has Deleted All His Instagram Posts
Brandan and Mary’s Instagram profiles after the fight also indicate they are taking a break from each other. Brandan has several inactive profiles on IG. However, he started using the one with the username @brandan.denuccio18 once 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 5 premiered. Brandan had several photos together with Mary on his feed. His profile picture also featured the two of them together. Brandan now has a selfie as his profile display photo. Not only that, but the page also has zero posts now. Brandan has seemingly deleted or archived all his pictures with Mary from his IG timeline.
Mary used to have a private Instagram profile until recently. Her page also had several photos together with Brandan. One of them posted on October 3, 2023 was a mirror selfie showing Brandan hugging a pregnant Mary. It sparked rumors that Mary was pregnant again with their second baby. Mary has now deleted the post from her feed. She’s also removed all other photos and videos featuring Brandan from her page. The couple, however, is still following each other back on the social media platform.
Brandan’s Facebook Profile Suggests He’s Single

Brandan is also active on Facebook along with Instagram. He’s changed his display profile picture on Facebook to the same one as his DP on Instagram. Brandan’s location on his Facebook profile says he lives in “Eugene, Oregon.” He has added a quote to his profile which reads, “Look out for numero uno” as shared by Reddit user u/8MCM1. However, he changed it on November 1 to read, “Maria Rosa I will love you no matter what. Mary and Brandan.” Meanwhile, Mary’s quote in her Facebook bio reads, “Always choose where your heart can find peace and happiness.” Mary and Brandan may be intentionally faking a split just to get attention.
Mary and Brandan’s primary source of income has become their social media platforms since their 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way debut. They have launched Cameo profiles and were caught selling bracelets and necklaces to their followers along with hampers of cheap Filipino snacks. They weren’t making any profits from the store they launched back home, and with rumors of them getting fired from the franchise for leaking spoilers, Brandan and Mary don’t have much of a reality TV career left either. A split could let fans reach out to them individually to offer them emotional and in turn, monetary support. Thus, it’s likely they are faking a breakup to manipulate viewers.
