90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Armando Rubio has spoken about how his ex-wife died while she was pregnant with their baby. The 34-year-old from San Felipe, Mexico, has been married to Kenneth Niedermeier, aka Kenny, since 2021, after having documented their journey to the aisle as the franchise’s first male gay couple on The Other Way season 2. Kenny and Armando met at a gay father’s online support group. Kenny moved from Florida to Mexico to stay with Armando and his daughter Hannah. Two years later, the couple is contemplating a move to Mexico City, while Armando wants to grow the family by having another baby.

Kenny is in favor of adoption but is not fully on board with having a baby. as he’s getting older and may be done having kids. Kenny raised four kids on his own, and even if he loved every second of it, he doesn’t want to go through it again. Kenny has his eldest son Bricen, followed by his triplet daughters, Madison, Cassidy, and Taylor. Kenny was never married, so opted for IVF to start a family. Kenny’s friend offered to have a child with him, so they faked being married. However, along the way, Kenny also lost twins at four months from a miscarriage.

Armando’s Pregnant Wife’s Death Still Haunts Him

In 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 5, episode 7, Armando cried while discussing his and Kenny both losing babies in the past. As Armando’s mom consoled him, he made a shocking confession during his talking head segment. “When Hannah’s mother was eight months pregnant, she had a car accident and passed away,” he said. After a brief pause, Armando added, “They both passed away.” In a series of Instagram stories posted in June 2020, Armando shared, “My then-wife and I had been separated for a few months before her passing for a number of reasons, one of which was anger issues she was working on.”

Armando Was Going To Have A Baby Girl

The accident occurred several months after their separation when the couple had a disagreement over finances while trying to rebuild their friendship. Armando had left and was driving home when after 15–20 minutes, someone rammed into his car twice on the highway. Armando realized it was his wife, but before he knew it, “she lost control of her vehicle” and “passed away on the scene.” In the episode, Armando confessed he’s spent years wondering “who or what this child would have been” and how they would have interacted with him and Hannah. “We were ready for her birth, we had a name picked out,” Armando said, revealing he was expecting a girl.

Having A Baby With Kenny Will Heal Armando’s Wounds

“It was very hard to lose her. There is no way to explain the pain and the feelings,” Armando said while fighting back tears. Armando wonders if he had another baby, his late baby daughter would be reincarnated. On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Kenny admitted that he hadn’t realized the death of his wife and unborn child affected Armando that much. It breaks Kenny’s heart to see his husband this way. He wants to make Armando happy and fulfill his dreams. However, Kenny himself has a fear that he won’t be around to see the baby grow up if they do welcome a child in the future.
