Emily and Kobe are parents to three beautiful children. They recently revealed the third addition to their family after announcing they were expecting in November 2023. Now, Kobe and Emily are featured in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8, where Kobe’s in-laws will meet his kids and wife. However, Kobe is nervous about how his relatives will receive Emily, and he has valid reasons.

Emily Is Controlling

Emily’scontrolling tendencies have been evident since the couple joined 90 Day Fiancé. When Kobe and Emily find out they are expecting their second child together, Kobe wants to be honest with his in-laws, but Emily is hesitant. She was adamant about keeping her parents in the dark, and many accused Emily of being manipulative and controlling.

The fans had initially called her out for pushing Kobe to spend the first night with her instead of meeting their young son for the first time, showing how egocentric she was. Things reached a breaking point between the couple when Emily met Kobe’s friend Temperature, who told her that men are always in charge of relationships in the African community. Temperature didn’t hesitate to encourage Kobe to move to Ohio, where there was a huge African American community, whereas Emily didn’t want to leave Kansas.

“All these things are coming out of the woodwork and I’m like, where are they coming from? Like knowing deep down you want to move to Ohio? Like I need to know these things. And I don’t want to find out a year after marrying you.”

Cameroonian Women Are Submissive

Kobe and Temperature discussed Emily’s mannerisms on 90 Day Fiancé season 9. Kobe noted that despite Emily being “wife material,” she still had a “nasty attitude” and wanted to control everything. During a conversation, Kobe’s friend said he needed to take control and be the man in his relationship.

Kobe added that Emily is strong-willed and wouldn’t accept a move to Ohio, with Temperature indicating that he shouldn’t let Emily be the sole decision-maker. The discussion made Kobe “wake up” and decide he needs to be the man, noting that Temperature awakened the African man in him (via 90 Day Fiancé). The Cameroonian natives must have based their reasoning on Cameroonian women being more submissive and how, in their culture, the men make the final decisions at home.

Kobe’s Family Might Not Accept Her

Kobe is worried about his family’s reaction to meeting his wife. The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star, who traveled with his in-laws, Emily, and their two kids, voiced his concerns and fears for the first time about introducing Emily since she is from the U.S. He also noted that he knows Emily is nervous about meeting his family and is unsure of how the introduction will be.

“I’m so concerned because nobody in my family’s ever left and got married to a foreigner, live outside Cameroon. I mean, I want the first impression to be perfect, to be good. But honestly, I really don’t know how my family and friends are gonna react, and this is something I’m really concerned about.”

Emily Will Have To Cook And Clean

90 Day Fiancé fans have criticized Emily for being “selfish” and “spoiled,” saying she came off as someone who has never worked a day in her life. In the recent episode, Emily complained about her parents being around and their lack of privacy, which was pretty ironic since she and Kobe are the ones invading her parents’ home and barely help with household chores. The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 cast member will be rudely shocked upon her arrival in Cameron, where Kobe’s parents expect her to cook and clean as they do in the African culture.
