90 Day Fiancé: Did A Hurricane Ruin Ashley & Manuel’s Wedding? (Spoilers)
90 Day Fiancé star Ashley Campbell worried about her wedding ceremony with Manuel Velez being wrecked by a hurricane during season 10. Ashley is a professional witch on the reality TV show who’s getting married to construction worker Manuel. Ashley, from Rochester, New York, met Manuel over a decade ago in Ecuador. Ashley was in Manuel’s country as an undergrad student. Ashley and Manuel crossed paths at a bar and were engaged before she returned to the U.S.
Ashley and Manuel split because of the long distance but did get back together seven years later. Ashley had just split with her long-term boyfriend when Manuel approached her. He came to the U.S. on a K-1 visa while telling his family that he was going to a different town for work. Manuel didn’t respect Ashley’s career as a witch and was worried about sharing the bed with her dog Rico Suave. Manuel expected Ashley to send $250 to his home in Ecuador, while he mocked her for spending too much money on the wedding.
Ashley & Manuel’s Wedding Was Threatened By Hurricane Earl
With one day left to wed, Ashley got a message from her wedding planner named Armando (via ExtraTV.) He was taking care of all the nitty-gritty of the big day for Ashley and Manuel. He told Ashley that there was a possibility of tropical storms ruining her wedding. He said that since Ashley was going to be on the beach, she was going to be putting her guests in a “really serious situation.” Hearing the word “storm” made Ashley hyperventilate. Ashley had not taken “hurricane season” into account while choosing the wedding date.
Manuel’s K-1 Visa’s Cut-Off Date Was Their Wedding Day
“What happens if it rains or even worse, if there’s a hurricane. I’m gonna die,” Ashley told the cameras in her confessional. Ashley said she intentionally wanted to marry Manuel “as close to the moon in Pisces” as she could. She added, “We’ve got this full moon hitting on day 89, all of this is happening in Divine timing.” It was why she’d chosen the day. Since the rest was being planned by Armando, Ashley didn’t have a plan B. People were going to fly in since it was a destination wedding, so postponing the wedding was not possible. Ashley revealed that it was also the “cut-off day.”
Ashley explained that the K-1 visa was conditional, and she had to get married within 90 days. Manuel would get the boot if he didn’t marry Ashley during the said timeframe. “We’re getting married on the beach, that’s the vision. That’s what’s happening. That’s what we’re doing at 5:30 pm,” Ashley declared.
Ashley Got Married To Manuel In 2022
Ashley said there was no other option. She had waited to marry Manuel for two-plus years. She cried that she had never worked harder for anything in her life. “This wedding could be ruined if it gets rained on,” added Ashley, who was afraid of everything that she had worked on being washed away. As it turns out, Ashley and Manuel got married on September 8, 2022, as revealed by Starcasm. The wedding took place on Singer Island, located northeast of West Palm Beach. As per the report, it was Hurricane Earl that threatened to ruin Ashley and Manuel’s wedding.
“Earl was still well away from the Florida coast at this point,” the report added. The hurricane turned north and approached Newfoundland instead. It later headed northeast and dissipated without making landfall. Ashley and Manuel have been married for the last 16 months now. A lot has seemingly happened between them after season 10 was filmed. There are also rumors of Ashley currently being pregnant, even though nothing has been confirmed yet. They are also supposedly filming 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 after getting done with 90 Day Fiancé.
