90 Day Fiancé

8 Reasons Pedro Jimeno Should’ve Been Cast For 90 Day: The Single Life Instead Of Chantel

The Family Chantel’s Pedro Jimeno would’ve been a better pick for 90 Day: The Single Life than his former wife, Chantel Everett. The popular reality TV spin-off has always featured wacky cast members. However, only a few have been as embarrassing as Chantel. The 33-year-old reality star was once happily married to her Dominican Republic husband, Pedro. However, the family drama caused them to drift apart, leading them to fall out of love. Pedro was the first to give up on his marriage. He began focusing on his work and eventually asked Chantel for divorce in The Family Chantel season 4.

Chantel was initially shocked by Pedro’s request, as she had hoped things would work out. However, Pedro’s coldness made her realize wouldn’t reconcile. In The Family Chantel season 5, Chantel finally divorces Pedro and moves on with her life. She began contemplating her future and got back into the dating game. Chantel returned to TV on 90 Day: The Single Life season 4 to find a new man following her divorce. Unfortunately, she didn’t think it through and started looking for love in the wrong places. The Atlanta native joined the show with a group of embarrassing friends, making a fool out of herself.

8. Pedro’s Family Is More Interesting Than Chantel’s Friends

Nicole & Lidia Are Entertaining To Watch

Pedro would’ve been a far better choice for the spin-off, as his family is way more interesting than Chantel’s group of toxic friends, who crave attention. Fans have seen Pedro’s sister, Nicole Jimeno, over the last few years. They know how dramatic she is and the entertainment value she brings to the show. Viewers also know Pedro’s mother, Lidia Morel. They’ve recently seen her relationship journey with Scott Wern and would’ve liked to know how she’s doing nowadays.

7. Pedro Fell Out Of Love First

Pedro Is Ready To Find A New Partner

Pedro would’ve also been a great pick for 90 Day: The Single Life because he has been emotionally single for a long time. The Dominican Republic native fell out of love with Chantel long before he filed for divorce. Chantel is only trying to look for love to get over Pedro, so her journey isn’t as special. In comparison, Pedro’s search for love would’ve been far more interesting as he had already moved on from Chantel. He would have focused more on finding the right partner.

6. Pedro’s Story Would’ve Been Realistic & Grounded

Pedro Is Working Hard At His Job As A Real Estate Agent

People would’ve liked to see Pedro’s romantic journey because he’s far more grounded than his ex-wife. Chantel thinks of herself as a princess and expects her friends to put her on a pedestal. Compared to Pedro, he’s more realistic about life and expectations. He has been working hard on his job and is far more likable now. Since fans like reality TV to be somewhat real, fans may have enjoyed Pedro’s journey more than Chantel’s.

5. Pedro Doesn’t Care About Sending A Message To Chantel

Chantel Is Desperate To Find A New Man

The most annoying thing about Chantel’s journey on 90 Day: The Single Life has been her attitude. Instead of looking for someone good for her, Chantel tried to send a message to her critics and Pedro. She wants to show the world that she can find someone better than her ex-husband and constantly brings him up in conversations. Chantel needed the time to get over Pedro instead of rushing to find someone else. Pedro doesn’t care about sending a message to Chantel. He doesn’t want to prove he can find someone better than her, making him a better candidate for 90 Day: The Single Life.

4. Odds Are Against Pedro

Audience Would’ve Been Hooked To Pedro’s Journey

Pedro’s journey in 90 Day: The Single Life would’ve been entertaining because the world is against him. Unlike Chantel, who got a lot of support after the divorce, Pedro didn’t get a lot of love from fans. Instead, he received criticism on every social media platform. He received negative comments, got used by his family, and earned a lot of backlash. Pedro was also involved in a major feud with Scott, his mother Lidia’s boyfriend, which ended badly. He is a typical underdog, and most people enjoy watching people overcome hurdles.

3. Pedro’s Story May Have Answered Some Past Questions

Did Pedro Really Cheat On Chantel?

While Chantel is great, she’s also an open book, so there isn’t much fans don’t know about her. As for Pedro, he has been surrounded by scandals from the day he joined the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Previously, Chantel’s family accused him of being a scammer. Soon after, Chantel alleged that Pedro had cheated on her with one of his co-workers, while fans also spotted some clues about Pedro’s infidelity. It would’ve been great to watch him on 90 Day: The Single Life and see him drop more hints about what happened. It would’ve been far more entertaining for fans to discover the truth behind some of these past allegations.

2. A Chance To See Pedro’s Personality Away From Former In-Laws

Pedro May Be A Better Person Without His In-Laws Around

Chantel’s journey is the same old story viewers have witnessed countless times over the last seven years. She’s still in the same environment, surrounded by the same people. In comparison, Pedro is living a brand-new life. He has changed a lot and has become a new person. So far, viewers have only seen Pedro under the supervision of his toxic in-laws. He hasn’t been able to showcase the real him and has always been judged by the Everett family. 90 Day: The Single Life could’ve been a platform for Pedro to show his real personality.

1. Pedro Deserves A Chance To Redeem Himself

He May Not Be A Sanky-Panky

Pedro deserves a chance to prove himself and redeem his image. Over the last seven years, people have accused him of being the bad guy. His former mother-in-law once labeled him a “sanky panky.” Pedro needs an opportunity to tell his story to fans. He deserves a chance at redemption and clearing his name. While Chantel really has nothing else to show fans apart from her romantic journey, Pedro would’ve had much more to offer. His story would’ve had multiple layers, and he could’ve been the standout MVP of 90 Day: The Single Life.
