90 Day Fiancé’: Molly Hopkins’ Daughter Olivia’s Legal Issues Explained

90 Day Fiancé star Molly Hopkins has been in the news for her split with boyfriend Kelly Brown, ending her friendship with Pillow Talk partner Cynthia Decker, and of course her daughter Olivia’s recent arrest. The 47-year-old, previously seen in the reality TV show Double Divas, made her franchise debut when her fiancé Luis Mendez moved to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic on a K-1 visa to get married. Molly had introduced her daughters Olivia and Kensley Hopkins then, born out of two previous relationships.
The young 90 Day Fiancé star Luis wasn’t interested in being a stepfather to Molly’s daughters. Olivia had taken an instant dislike to him. Moreover, Luis had also overstepped and made the teenager uncomfortable by asking her sexual questions. When Molly divorced Luis and started dating Kelly Brown, a New York cop on 90 Day: The Single Life, Olivia bonded with her mother’s new boyfriend. Unfortunately, Olivia accused Kelly of allegedly choke-slamming her in November 2022, right before Molly and Kelly’s breakup.
90 Day Fiancé’s Molly Hopkins’ Daughter Arrested for Battery In October 2020
According to Us Weekly, Olivia was arrested in October 2020 after an alleged altercation at Molly’s Woodstock, Georgia residence. Olivia was just 21 years old and was charged with “misdemeanor simple battery” because she allegedly “struck” Molly. Olivia was accused of hitting Molly several times, because it had left a clearly visible red mark on Molly’s head.
Olivia also apparently kicked her mom in the leg, and the incident was witnessed by an unnamed “third party.” She was later released on a $1,500 bond, but was asked to “stay away” from Molly and “not approach or communicate” with her. Olivia also had to stay away from “any bar or establishment serving intoxicating liquor, beer, or wine; and any place of Disrepute.”
Olivia was told not to possess any “dangerous weapons” and to keep at a distance from locations where they’re found. Moreover, Olivia didn’t have to “possess or consume any intoxicating liquor or drug, without prescription, or be present at any location where [they] may be found.” Along with the above, she was asked to move out of her mother’s house within 48 hours of her being released from jail. However, a month after her arrest, a motion was filed by Olivia’s attorney to make an adjustment to her bond, so she could be allowed in Molly’s home.

Olivia and Molly were on good terms recently. Molly did a sultry photoshoot with Olivia in May 2022, and in August 2022 she wrote, “So very proud of my first love @olivia.wrynn” to praise Olivia for her work at LiviRae Lingerie. In fact, the alleged physical altercation between Olivia and Kelly happened at the store. But according to In Touch, Olivia was arrested and booked on April 4, 2023, when she violated the aforementioned terms of her 2020 arrest. She had tested positive for Fentanyl, a prescription painkiller and a controlled substance, after having failed to take two drug tests in March.
Olivia had also failed to enter a family violence treatment program leading to her arrest when she was found guilty of violating her 12-month probation. She was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail. As reported by Starcasm, Olivia signed a Consent Order Revoking Probation and pleaded guilty to the probation violations. The court documents noted, “The Defendant is HEREBY REVOKED to serve 45 days in the custody of the Cherokee County Jail.” Olivia was released from jail on April 26, 2023, but her sentence was deemed “served” under “custody detail,” even if she didn’t appear to have completed her 45 days.

Just over a week before Olivia admitted to the probation violations, a video shared by merrypants showed her calling Molly “violent.” The video was from an Instagram Live Olivia had done following her first arrest. Olivia had “accepted responsibility” for her actions, but also claimed Molly “was violent with Luis. She’s been violent with Cynthia, she was violent with multiple ex-boyfriends that I can remember.” Olivia accused Molly of punching people who disagreed with her, and claimed she was apparently threatened to be on 90 Day Fiancé.
