General Hospital spoilers reveal Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has been planting seeds for months about his involvement with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Everyone knows he works for Sonny, but one person, in particular, has worried that Dex had more to say that he’s been tightlipped about — Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). A few months ago, Dex found himself hanging in a meat locker at Pozzulo’s after lying to Sonny.
He narrowly escaped a horrible fate when Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) worked their magic to get him set free. Somehow, Sonny gave Dex another chance to stay in his employ. But that didn’t stop Dante from asking questions about how he ended up with those bruises on his wrists, and why he keeps protecting Sonny. As it turns out, that was Dex’s strategy all along.
General Hospital Spoilers — Dex Heller’s Seeds are Sprouting
Now that the Pikeman deal is coming down the pike — pun intended — the road Dex paved with bad intentions is about to clear the way for Dante, leading him right where Dex always wanted him to end up, at Sonny’s door. Dante knows Dex has been protecting Sonny, and for whatever reason, the cop in him is more curious about the truth than the son in him is about protecting his dad. In fact, the last time Dante saw Dex, he pushed so hard for Dex to change his story about what happened to him at Pozzulo’s that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) questioned if Dante was building a case against his own dad.
GH Spoilers – Hint Dante Falconeri Does His Job
Dante is just doing his job. He’s a cop at heart, and when he’s off the clock, his brain is still in cop mode. He’s always looking for honesty and transparency, and he knows he can’t always have that with his father. Sometimes, he just might unknowingly hold it against the mob kingpin for being who he is. When Dante is confronted with new clues that leave a trail of breadcrumbs leading back to Sonny, he’s not going to turn his cheek — and Dex was counting on that. However, Dex may have underestimated how sharp Dante is, and that he would see through what Dex has done and recognize it all as too easy. This is going to lead Dante to question whether Dex really slipped up and left a trail of Sonny’s crimes behind him, or if he meant to.
General Hospital Spoilers — Father vs Son
If Dante goes after Sonny, he’s not going to be met with kindness, despite their recent agreement that this may happen someday and it wouldn’t change how they personally felt about one another. Sonny knows his son operates by a different moral code than he does, and Dex is aware of that, too. When Dante gets the opportunity to chase down a lead that would likely lead to the penultimate persecution of his father, is he going to take that chance knowing that Dex might have been a plant all along trying to make a fool out of him? It sounds like Dante has a serious decision to make about where his loyalties lie.
