Savannah Chrisley Admits She Feels Incapable Of Raising Her Siblings

Savannah Chrisley revealed that she doesn’t feel capable of raising Grayson and Chloe following the absence of Chrisley Knows Best parents Todd and Julie Chrisley due to their prison sentences. After being found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion, Todd and Julie were sentenced to prison. Todd was mandated to serve his 12-year sentence in Pensacola, Florida, according to court documents submitted by the U.S. Marshals, while Julie is serving her time in Marianna, Florida. The convicted couple began their sentencing on January 17, and it has been negatively affecting their kids, who bid them a tearful farewell on their way to prison. Savannah continues to discuss how she feels about caring for her siblings in light of her parents’ imprisonment.
Savannah has not been having it easy raising her brother Grayson, 16, and niece Chloe, 10, without their parents. She admitted that she had a full-on breakdown not that long ago. “The other night, I had a full-on breakdown,” she recently revealed on her Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley podcast. She continued as she explained that she suddenly got overwhelmed while sorting out the appropriate clothes for Chloe on one of their visits to prison. The 25-year-old revealed that while doing that, she sat down on the floor and began to cry. “I don’t feel that I am worthy or capable enough of doing the job [Julie’s] done for all her life,” Savannah added as she wondered how she would take on her mom’s responsibilities when she is not there.

Chloe, who may have noticed Savannah’s struggles, comforted her. The reality TV star recalled that Chloe gave her some reassurance when she told her that she was doing a “pretty good job” because she made her ramen noodles. Savannah then went on to share how she intends to improve her family’s meals. She gave a detailed description as she explained that every Sunday, they will plan their meals for the week. From her explanation, Grayson and Chloe will tell her what they want for dinner, and they will get it at the grocery store. As a result, they will always know what they will eat every night.

Despite the challenges, Savannah seems to be at peace with her circumstances. A while back, there was a discussion she had with Todd, in which he told her that caring for her siblings while they were away would be one of the most difficult but gratifying things she had ever done. Savannah seems to be beginning to understand everything that her father said. While she once blamed God for what her family has been going through, she is finally at peace.
Savannah has proven time and time again that she is a strong woman. Taking on the role of a parent for her two siblings is a huge task. Even though she has admitted to feeling incapable of the task, it does not change the fact that the Chrisley Knows Best star is strong, compassionate, and loving.
